Al Pilong currently serves as CEO of AP Leadership Partners, an executive coaching practice focused on leadership coaching of C-suite executives as well as clinical leaders, including physicians and nurses. Prior to this, Al served as COO of Youth For Tomorrow in Bristow, VA. Previously he also served as CEO of Garnet Health in Middletown, New York. In this role, he designed and implemented a strategic plan that resulted in rapid improvements across multiple functions, including revenue cycle, managed care contracting and supply chain management. Al also served as CEO of Novant Health UVA Health System in Warrenton, Virginia and COO at Munson Healthcare, as well as President of Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan. His executive experience also included Valley Health in Winchester, Virginia where he held the positions of SVP as well as President of Winchester Medical Center.

Al’s expertise spans the full range of healthcare leadership and executive coaching—from strategic partnerships and operational excellence to financial stewardship, service line development and quality enhancement.

Al blends executive coaching, financial acumen and team building skills to lead and coach multi-hospital health systems as well as non-profit organizations, to achieve peak performance from the income statement to quality outcomes. As a C-suite executive and executive coach, he leverages a patient-first perspective gained during his early career as a pharmacist and pharmacy leader to drive results.
